La MaMa Moves!
The Chase Brock Experience

The Chase Brock Experience premieres The Song That I Sing; Or, Meow So Pretty, a rippling new dance to the songs of famed folk revival group The New Christy Minstrels. Equal parts Blue Ridge and Brooklyn, this restless, sexy, strummy work uses a democratic dance mash-up of tap, finger tutting, clogging, hip-hop, parkour, square dance, step dance, jumpstyle and jazz to sing of our shared and personal mythology.

“The ninth La MaMa Moves! Dance Festival will bring together experimental dancers, ensembles and choreographers from around the world in programs that will include nine world premieres and four United States premieres. On a shared bill that closes the festival, Chase Brock offers “The Song That I Sing; Or, Meow So Pretty,” a mash-up of hip-hop, jazz and folk forms, and Chris Masters presenters his “Willful Host” for four dancers.”
